Sant Josep

Sant Josep is a picturesque, charming village located in the west of Ibiza, with pretty white painted houses scattered over the surrounding hillsides.  In the centre there is an impressive church where you can sit and watch the world go by under the shade of the courtyard trees.

Afterall, the pace of life here is much slower than in the larger resorts.

Village Life

Everything on Your Doorstep

Sant Josep boasts an array of charming restaurants, bars, and cafes, beautiful boutiques and local crafts at the weekly traditional market which takes place on Saturdays.  Here you can find, many stalls with local, traditional and organic products, ranging from fruit and vegetables, to paintings and ceramics.

There is a surprisingly wide choice of restaurants and bars in this small village, from exclusive restaurants to pizza places, traditional bars and spots where you can enjoy great cocktails and even live music. All these places are easily accessible, either on the main road or in the small lanes running off to the sides. When hungry, all you need do is wander around and take a look at the menus outside each establishment, (most have English versions) and find a place that suits you.

Restaurants & Bars

In addition to the main restaurants there is a little lane diagonally opposite the church, where you will find El Destino which offers reasonably-priced tapas that are a mix of Mediterranean, African and Asian dishes. It is incredibly popular and we recommend you book a table during peak season.

Cafes

There are also a number of cafes and patisseries where you can enjoy a healthy breakfast with juices or traditional Spanish pastries.

Shops

There are several nice shops and boutiques, where you can find souvenirs, clothes, toys, ceramics and home interiors. There are also two supermarkets, a fishmonger, a butcher, two patisseries, a chemist and cash machines in the village.
